Death Penalty: Lahore Court Sentences Husband for Murder of TikTok Star Mahnoor

LAHORE (HRNW): An Additional Sessions Court in Lahore has sentenced a man to death for the brutal murder of his wife, the popular TikToker Mahnoor. Presiding Judge Chaudhry Shahid Hameed delivered the verdict, sentencing the convict, Muhammad Ramadan, to capital punishment and imposing a fine of Rs 500,000.

The court’s decision was based on overwhelming evidence and witness testimonies presented by the prosecution. During the trial, Deputy District Public Prosecutor Sajid Saeed Bhatti presented 21 witnesses and utilized forensic evidence from advanced digital devices to prove the convict’s guilt. The prosecution revealed that the motive behind the murder was Ramadan’s resentment toward his wife’s social media presence; he had repeatedly demanded she stop making TikTok videos. When Mahnoor refused to comply, he strangled her to death.

The incident, which took place in 2024, led to a case being registered under Section 302 (murder) at the Ghaziabad Police Station. The prosecutor highlighted the convict’s calculated behavior, noting that after committing the murder, Ramadan attempted to cover his tracks by driving Mahnoor’s body to various hospitals, pretending to seek emergency medical help. However, the forensic timeline and investigative findings successfully debunked his claims, leading to his conviction today.
