Lahore (HRNW): Garhi Shahu Police have arrested a suspect accused of allegedly harassing a college lecturer, using modern technology and police resources to trace and apprehend him.
According to police, the arrested suspect, Wasif, is a former student of the female college lecturer.
Police said the suspect allegedly blocked the lecturer’s path, snatched her bag and attempted to forcibly take her along while she was passing through a street.
According to police, CCTV footage of the incident is available, in which the suspect can allegedly be seen harassing the female lecturer.
A case has been registered against the suspect, while further investigation is underway.
SP Manza Karamat said strict action would be taken against anyone involved in harassing women or taking the law into their own hands.
