Karachi (HRNW) — An exchange of fire took place between police and armed suspects in the jurisdiction of Kharadar Police Station, resulting in one suspect being arrested in an injured condition, while his accomplice managed to escape.
According to police officials, the arrested suspect has been identified as Asif Ali. During the operation, police recovered a pistol with rounds and a motorcycle from his possession.
Authorities confirmed that Asif Ali is a habitual and professional criminal, previously jailed in multiple cases. His criminal history includes:
- Case No. 56/2011 — Section 324/34, Police Station Baghdadi
- Case No. 57/2011 — Section 23(I)A, Police Station Baghdadi
- Case No. 60/2015 — Section 23(I)A, Police Station Napier
The injured suspect has been shifted to the hospital for medical treatment, while efforts to trace his absconding accomplice are underway. Fresh cases have been registered, and further legal action is in progress.
