Karachi, Pakistan (HRNW) Arrangements have been finalized to bring the body of Shamaila Imran, wife of the late Dr. Imran Farooq, the founding leader of MQM, from London to Pakistan.
According to reports, Shamaila Imran’s burial will take place in Karachi in accordance with her will. Her body is scheduled to arrive in Karachi on Friday at 5:00 AM, accompanied by her two sons.
At Karachi Airport, MQM leaders including Dr. Farooq Sattar, members of the National and Provincial Assemblies, and other party officials will receive the body.
The funeral prayer will be offered after Friday prayers at Rahmania Mosque, Tariq Road, and she will be laid to rest next to her father in the Society Graveyard, as per her wishes.
Shamaila Imran passed away on December 19 in a London hospital after a prolonged illness. She had been battling cancer and multiple complex health conditions.
