Lahore (HRNW) — FIA Anti-Corruption Circle Lahore conducted a major operation, arresting a LESCO official in the act of accepting a bribe.
The suspect, Muhammad Asif, was serving as a Meter Inspector at LESCO and posted at the Kot Abdul Malik Sub-Division Office.
According to authorities, the suspect demanded and received PKR 100,000 from a complainant for correcting an electricity bill, and was caught red-handed during the transaction.
A case has been registered against the suspect, and investigations are underway.
