Islamabad (HRNW)- Four officers, including the Joint Executive Director of PIMS Hospital, have submitted written statements to the inquiry committee investigating the fire incident in the nursery of the hospital.
The committee, formed on the instructions of the Prime Minister, has questioned PIMS health management and nursery staff regarding the causes of the incident and future preventive measures. CCTV footage from the nursery has also been obtained and reviewed, with the committee comparing the footage with the administration’s account of how the fire started.
According to sources, the duty roster for August 26 was submitted to the committee, while nursery staff were questioned and reports from the fire brigade and emergency department were also provided.
The inquiry committee is expected to submit an interim report to the Prime Minister within 48 hours.
