Peshawar (HRNW) — Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced that it will file a contempt of court petition over the hospital transfer of PTI founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Speaking at a press conference, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi said an order had been issued by a three-member bench, but the directive was not implemented as required.
Afridi said the party would pursue legal action over the alleged non-compliance with the court order and file a contempt petition before the relevant forum.
The KP chief minister also announced that PTI’s political movement would continue and that protests would be intensified.
“Our movement will continue. The protests will now be intensified,” Afridi said.
PTI leaders demanded full implementation of judicial orders and called for decisions concerning Imran Khan’s treatment and hospital arrangements to be made in accordance with the court’s directions.
