Islamabad (HRNW)- Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that PTI founder Imran Khan’s health is completely fine, accusing the opposition of politicizing his medical condition and saying that political standards have been severely undermined.
Addressing the National Assembly, Khawaja Asif said Imran Khan’s sister had met him and could provide information about his health. He said the PTI founder’s eye condition had gradually improved, while a minor blood-pressure issue was being treated with medication.
The Defence Minister said detailed information regarding Imran Khan’s health would be made public and that the medical report would also be presented. He criticized what he described as political exploitation of health-related issues and referred to previous controversies involving the health of political leaders.
Khawaja Asif also compared the treatment of health issues involving PTI and PML-N leaders, arguing that his party’s leadership had faced imprisonment without using their medical conditions as a political issue.
He urged opposition lawmakers not to put Parliament at risk and said political disputes should be handled with greater restraint. He further criticized the opposition’s conduct, saying that the standards of politics had been badly damaged.
