Joint Accounts and Foreign Transactions
According to official documents, Dr. Fazeela Abbasi operated several joint bank accounts with her mother, former MNA Naseem Chaudhry, and her brother, Hamza Ali Abbasi. These accounts were allegedly used to facilitate significant financial movements.
Investigations reveal that hundreds of thousands of dollars and UAE dirhams were transferred abroad through these joint channels. Strikingly, these massive transfers reportedly bypassed the oversight of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) at the time of the transaction.
Discrepancies in Tax Filings
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) documents highlight serious irregularities in tax compliance:

Undisclosed Accounts: Only three bank accounts were officially declared in tax returns, and even those were found to contain significant financial discrepancies.

Third-Party Receipts: Evidence suggests that receipts for a sum of $200,000 were issued under the names of various drivers and personal friends rather than the primary account holders.
Lack of Documentary Evidence
The accused has reportedly failed to provide any valid documentary evidence or a legitimate money trail for the millions of dollars in question. The investigative authorities stated that because no verified receipts or legal proofs exist for these transactions, the explanations provided by the accused cannot be accepted.
The FIA continues to scrutinize the document trail to determine the full extent of the alleged money laundering operation.
