Organized Domestic Theft Ring Busted in Karachi East

Karachi (HRNW)In a major operation based on intelligence leads, the District East Police arrested five domestic workers from the residence of a prominent industrialist. The women were allegedly part of an organized theft gang that specialized in looting high-value households.

According to police reports, the gang leader, identified as Aurooj, stole the locker keys and had duplicates made for just 3,000 PKR. Upon their arrest, police recovered millions in cash and several mobile phones. Investigations revealed that the gang used the stolen wealth to purchase luxury items, including a house, a car, and motorcycles.

The arrested suspects—Aurooj, Saira, Naila, Sana, and Alishba—hail from various regions, including Vehari, Okara, Faisalabad, Rahim Yar Khan, and Kot Addu. Following the bust, the police issued a public advisory urging citizens to conduct mandatory CNIC and police verification of domestic staff to prevent such organized crime.
