Chakwal (HRNW): A case has been registered after a 12-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted at the premises of a faith healer, where she had reportedly gone with her brother for spiritual treatment.
According to the girl’s family, she had accompanied her brother to the faith healer’s premises. The girl allegedly told police that the man sexually assaulted her at gunpoint and threatened to kill her if she disclosed the incident to anyone.
Police said the girl had been brought to the premises by her brother for spiritual treatment. The alleged faith healer reportedly told them that the treatment would be performed in the evening. However, as the evening passed and it became night, the girl was sent to a separate room to sleep after dinner.
According to police, the suspect allegedly entered the girl’s room some time later and sexually assaulted her.
The girl subsequently informed her family about the alleged incident. The family then approached the police and requested legal action.
Police have registered a case on the complaint of the girl’s family, while further investigation and legal proceedings are underway.
