Peshawar (HRNW) — The Federal Investigation Agency’s Anti-Corruption Circle (ACC) Peshawar, in collaboration with the WAPDA Surveillance & Intelligence (S&I) team, conducted a raid at Malkabad, Nowshera Kalan, following a tip-off regarding stolen government property.
According to the FIA, officers and personnel from the ACC Peshawar carried out a coordinated and prompt search of the suspected premises during the operation.
A large quantity of stolen PESCO government property worth millions of rupees was recovered from the location.
The recovered items included a complete 200 kVA electricity transformer, a large quantity of High Tension (HT) and Low Tension (LT) cables, cross-arms/braces, and other valuable equipment associated with the electricity grid.
The recovered government property was taken into official custody after completion of the required legal formalities. A detailed inventory and recovery memo were also prepared at the site.
The FIA said further investigation is underway to identify individuals involved in the theft, illegal possession, purchase, sale, or disposal of stolen government property.
Further legal action will be initiated against those found involved in accordance with the law.
