950 Pakistanis Deported for Begging Abroad, 49 Offloaded at Karachi Airport

Karachi (HRNW)- Around 950 Pakistanis have been deported from several countries on allegations of begging abroad during the 2025-26 period, while 49 passengers suspected of traveling overseas for begging were offloaded at Karachi airport.

According to official statistics, Saudi Arabia recorded the highest number of deportations, with 897 Pakistanis sent back. A further 22 were deported from the United Arab Emirates, 11 each from Iraq and Oman, five from Qatar, and one each from Bahrain and Malaysia.

At Karachi airport, 21 passengers traveling to Saudi Arabia were offloaded on suspicion of intending to beg abroad. Seven passengers bound for Bahrain, along with five each traveling to the UAE and Qatar, were also stopped.

Authorities also offloaded four passengers traveling to Oman, three to Malaysia, and one each bound for Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Indonesia and Türkiye.

According to sources, all passengers who were offloaded have been transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle for further investigation and legal action.
