Firing at MNA Qadir Patel’s Office: Suspect Sent to Jail on Judicial Remand

Karachi (HRNW) — An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) administrative judge heard the case concerning the alleged firing at the office of Member of the National Assembly Qadir Patel, as Boat Basin Police produced arrested suspect Malik Fayyaz before the court.

Investigating Officer Inspector Muhammad Amin requested the court to grant police remand, stating that the suspect needed to be interrogated further.

The court, however, sent Malik Fayyaz to jail on judicial remand.

According to the case, the suspect allegedly opened fire while MNA Qadir Patel was present in his office.

Police said a case had been registered against the suspect at Boat Basin Police Station and that further investigation is underway.
