One Killed, Three Injured After Dumper Truck Hits Rickshaw on Karachi Super Highway

Karachi (HRNW) – A man was killed and three others were injured after a dumper truck collided with a rickshaw near Jamali Bridge in front of Kababjees Restaurant on Karachi’s Super Highway.

According to rescue officials, the deceased was identified as Muhammad Rashid. Chhipa ambulance teams responded promptly to the scene and shifted the victim’s body along with the injured persons to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities and medical treatment.

Police also reached the accident site, collected preliminary evidence, and initiated an investigation into the incident. Initial reports suggest that the collision may have resulted from the dumper truck’s alleged reckless or high-speed driving; however, the exact cause of the accident will be determined after the completion of the official investigation.

The incident has once again raised concerns over the growing number of fatal accidents involving heavy vehicles on Karachi’s roads. Residents and road safety advocates have urged the authorities to enforce stricter traffic regulations, improve monitoring of heavy transport vehicles, and take effective measures to protect the lives of motorists and pedestrians.
