Residents Raise Concerns Over Alleged Unauthorized Construction in Gulistan-e-Johar, Call for Investigation

Karachi (HRNW): Local residents have expressed serious concern over an alleged unauthorized construction project at Plot No. B-185, Block-11, Gulistan-e-Johar, Karachi, where a Ground Plus One (G+1) residential building with multiple flats/units is reportedly being constructed without an approved building plan.

According to residents, if the construction is being carried out in violation of the approved building plan and applicable building regulations, the relevant authorities should immediately inspect the site, verify all approvals and documentation, and take legal action where necessary.

Complainants have also alleged that Building Inspectors Riaz Jakhro and Abid Shah failed to take effective action regarding the reported construction. However, HRNW has not independently verified these allegations, and the officials’ response was not available at the time of publication.

Residents have urged the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA), the Government of Sindh, and other relevant authorities to conduct a transparent investigation, examine the approved building plans and related approvals, and ensure that any violations of building laws are addressed in accordance with the law.
