Iranian President Pezeshkian Says Country Facing Full-Scale Economic, Military and Security War

Tehran (HRNW)- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has described the country’s current situation as a full-scale war, saying Iran is facing severe pressure on economic, military and security fronts.

In a televised address, Pezeshkian said Iran was experiencing an “economic, military and security war” and acknowledged the serious difficulties confronting the country’s economy. He also referred to US President Donald Trump’s threats of imposing tougher sanctions on Tehran.

Pezeshkian said that despite the unequal circumstances, Iran was standing its ground and continuing efforts to serve its people. His remarks highlighted growing concerns over the impact of sanctions, trade restrictions and regional tensions on Iran’s economy.

The Iranian president has also recently stressed the need to end the conflict, saying it would be preferable to conclude the war from a position of strength and dignity. Meanwhile, tensions between Washington and Tehran remain high, particularly over the Strait of Hormuz and US economic pressure on Iran.
