India Files Supplementary Charge Sheet Against Hafiz Saeed in Pahalgam Attack Case

Pahalgam (HRNW): Indian authorities have filed a supplementary charge sheet against Hafiz Saeed in connection with the Pahalgam attack case, adding charges related to allegedly waging war against India and conspiring from across the border.

According to BBC Urdu, citing the Asian News International (ANI) news agency, India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) submitted the supplementary charge sheet against Hafiz Saeed, whom it identifies as the founder of the banned organization Lashkar-e-Taiba and the head of its alleged affiliate, The Resistance Front (TRF).

ANI, quoting NIA officials, reported that the supplementary charge sheet was filed before the NIA Special Court in Jammu. It alleges that Hafiz Saeed acted both in his individual capacity and as the head of Lashkar-e-Taiba and its alleged operational affiliate, The Resistance Front.

According to the NIA, the supplementary charge sheet includes additional provisions related to allegedly waging war against India and orchestrating a cross-border conspiracy.

The agency stated that the filing supplements the original 1,597-page charge sheet, which contains allegations concerning an alleged conspiracy, Hafiz Saeed’s alleged role, and evidence collected during the investigation. The NIA said the evidence was gathered through forensic analysis and field investigations.
