Islamabad High Court Announces Summer Vacation Schedule and Judges’ Availability

Islamabad (HRNW)- The Islamabad High Court (IHC) will begin its two-month summer vacation from tomorrow, while the court has also issued a schedule detailing the availability of judges during the vacation period with the approval of the Chief Justice.

According to an office order issued by the Deputy Registrar General, Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar will not take leave and will remain available throughout the summer vacation.

The schedule states that Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq Khan will remain available during July and will be on leave in August. Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir will be available from July 1 to July 14, remain on leave from July 15 to July 31, return from August 1 to August 16, and then proceed on leave again from August 17 to August 31.

Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro will be on leave during July and available in August, while Justice Muhammad Azam Khan will serve during July and take leave in August. Justice Muhammad Asif will be on leave in July and available in August, whereas Justice Inam Amin Minhas will remain available from July 1 to July 26 before proceeding on leave until August 31.

During the summer vacations, the court will continue hearing pre-arrest and post-arrest bail applications, unlawful detention cases, court-fixed matters, stay-order cases, and other urgent matters.

The Circuit Branch will remain open for the filing of new cases throughout the vacation period.

Court timings during the summer vacation will be 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., while on Fridays the court will function from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

The Islamabad High Court offices will remain open Monday to Thursday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., while Friday office hours will be 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
