PIA Launches Post-Hajj Operation, First Flight from Jeddah Brings Pilgrims Home

Karachi (HRNW)- Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has formally launched its post-Hajj operation, with the first Hajj flight carrying pilgrims arriving in Karachi from Jeddah.

According to a PIA spokesperson, more than 100 pilgrims returned home aboard flight PK-860. Upon arrival at Karachi Airport, the pilgrims were warmly welcomed by PIA District Manager Umar Khan and other officials, while floral garlands were presented to mark the occasion.

The spokesperson said that PIA’s post-Hajj operation will continue until June 30, during which special flights will transport pilgrims from Jeddah and Madinah to major cities across Pakistan, including Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad, Multan, Sialkot and Quetta.

According to PIA, a total of 213 flights will be operated as part of the post-Hajj operation, bringing back more than 53,000 Pakistani pilgrims from Saudi Arabia.

The national airline stated that all necessary arrangements have been completed to ensure comfortable travel and efficient services for returning pilgrims, while the entire operation is being personally monitored by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PIA.

The arrival of pilgrims has created joyous scenes at airports as families and loved ones gather to welcome those returning from the sacred pilgrimage.
