Sindh Government Approves Purchase of 50 More Double-Decker Buses for Public Transport

Karachi (HRNW)- It has been decided to purchase 50 more double-decker buses to provide travel facilities to the residents of the city.

A meeting of the Sindh Mass Transit Authority board was held under the chairmanship of Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon, in which major decisions were approved for the provision of travel facilities in Sindh including Karachi.

In the meeting, it was decided to purchase 50 more double-decker buses for Karachi. Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon said that the purpose of double-decker buses is to improve the movement and travel facilities of citizens.

He said that a double-decker bus will have a capacity of 126 passengers, which will significantly reduce the pressure on public transport. However, it was not announced on which routes these double-decker buses will run in Karachi.

It should be noted that earlier, the Sindh government had purchased 5 double-decker buses last year, which are operated from the airport to the tower via Shahrah-e-Faisal.
