Islamabad (HRNW)- Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar has stated that Pakistan is ready to play a mediating role between Iran and the United States to help reduce rising tensions in the region. He made these remarks while speaking to Arab media on March 18, 2026.
The minister emphasized that Pakistan has a strong track record of facilitating dialogue and resolving conflicts, adding that the country is willing to contribute to peace efforts once again. He also condemned attacks on Iran and expressed solidarity with Gulf nations amid the ongoing situation.
Addressing recent allegations, Attaullah Tarar rejected claims regarding the bombing of a Taliban hospital, calling them baseless and accusing certain elements of spreading misinformation.
He further clarified that recent operations conducted by the Pakistan Army were specifically targeted at terrorist camps and infrastructure, stressing that no civilian population was harmed during the actions in Afghanistan.
The statement comes at a time of heightened regional tensions, with Pakistan urging restraint and diplomatic engagement to ensure stability.
