President Asif Ali Zardari Begins Historic Visit to Kyrgyzstan After 21 Years

Islamabad (HRNW)- President Asif Ali Zardari will pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan from today until July 9, according to the Foreign Office.

A Foreign Office spokesperson said the President will be accompanied by a high-level delegation. The visit is being undertaken at the invitation of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov and marks the first visit by a Pakistani president to the Kyrgyz Republic in 21 years, making it a significant milestone in bilateral relations.

During the visit, President Zardari will hold a one-on-one meeting with President Sadyr Japarov, followed by delegation-level talks. The two leaders will review all aspects of Pakistan-Kyrgyzstan relations and exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The discussions will focus on expanding cooperation in key sectors, including trade and investment, energy, minerals, agriculture, textiles, the halal industry, health and pharmaceuticals, the digital economy, education, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.

President Zardari will also pay a courtesy call on the Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament during his visit.
