Lucerne (HRNW)- After 18 hours of lengthy and intensive negotiations in Switzerland, the Iranian delegation has departed for Tehran following the conclusion of high-level diplomatic consultations.
According to a statement posted by the Iranian government on X, the Iranian negotiating team left Switzerland for Iran after completing 18 hours of discussions and tough negotiations with US representatives.
The Iranian delegation was led by Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, while the United States delegation was headed by US Vice President JD Vance.
During the crucial ceasefire and diplomatic talks held in Lucerne, both sides reportedly approved a 60-day roadmap aimed at reaching a final comprehensive agreement.
The development is being viewed as an important step in ongoing diplomatic efforts, with both parties expected to continue technical and political discussions in the coming weeks to advance the negotiation process.
Observers say the approval of a structured roadmap could help maintain momentum toward resolving outstanding issues and reducing regional tensions.
