Tehran (HRNW)- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has claimed that significant progress was achieved during the talks held in Switzerland, including the lifting of certain restrictions on Iran and the release of some frozen Iranian assets.
In a statement posted on the social media platform X, Araqchi, referring to the joint statement issued after the negotiations, said that important progress had been made toward ending the conflict in Lebanon through the mediation efforts of Pakistan and Qatar.
According to the Iranian Foreign Minister, restrictions on Iran’s oil and petrochemical exports have been eased, the blockade on Iran has been lifted, and some frozen Iranian assets have been released. He also stated that a major reconstruction and development initiative for Iran has been launched as part of the broader diplomatic process.
Araqchi further noted that the Lebanon Deconfliction Cell would serve as the first real test of the understandings reached during the negotiations.
The remarks come after high-level talks in Switzerland involving Iranian and American representatives, where both sides reportedly agreed on a roadmap aimed at advancing diplomatic efforts and reducing regional tensions.
