Builder Mafia Activities in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 2 Make Life Miserable for Residents

KARACHI (HRNW): The unchecked activities of the builder mafia in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 2 have made life difficult for local residents. According to sources, illegal commercial units are being constructed on residential plots, severely damaging the area’s infrastructure. Specifically, illegal construction is currently underway on Plot No. 110-A.

Fraudulent Sales and Infrastructure Decay

Local residents report that the builder mafia is selling these illegal units for tens of millions of rupees through private agreements, while keeping buyers completely in the dark about potential future legal consequences or losses.

Public anxiety is high, as many recall the Nasla Tower case, where citizens lost their life savings due to similar illegal constructions. There is a growing sense of fear and insecurity among the public regarding such investments.

Demands for Immediate Action

The residents have called upon the Director General of the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) and the Director SBCA Gulshan-e-Iqbal to intervene. They are demanding:

  • The immediate demolition of illegal structures.

  • Strict legal action against the builders responsible.

  • Prevention of further damage to the residential neighborhood.

Public circles have appealed to high-ranking officials to take immediate notice of this serious issue and ensure that the law is upheld to protect the rights of the citizens.
