KARACHI (HRNW): The South Investigation Police, under the supervision of SSP Tauheed Rehman, have successfully arrested a suspect who famously fled a police checkpoint at Teen Talwar in an Alto car earlier this month. The suspect, identified as Oseem, son of Kashif, was taken into custody along with the vehicle used in the incident. According to SSP Tauheed Rehman, the suspect had been signaled to stop during a routine police check several days ago but chose to accelerate recklessly through the blockade to evade authorities. A police officer on duty narrowly escaped injury due to the suspect’s negligence and high-speed maneuvering. The incident gained significant public attention after a video of the escape went viral on social media. Following the registration of a formal case at the Frere Police Station on April 1, 2026, the investigation team utilized technical resources to track down and apprehend the individual. The suspect is currently undergoing interrogation, and further legal proceedings are being processed to ensure accountability for endangering law enforcement personnel and violating traffic safety protocols.
