Tragedy in Multan: Three Members of a Family Killed, Nine Injured in Rickshaw Cylinder Blast

MULTAN (HRNW): A devastating LPG cylinder explosion occurred in a passenger rickshaw near Pul Ashiqabad in Multan, resulting in the deaths of three members of the same family and leaving nine others critically injured. The incident took place while the rickshaw was traveling from Muzaffargarh Road toward Vehari Chowk.

According to preliminary reports, the rickshaw was carrying several passengers when the LPG cylinder installed in the vehicle suddenly detonated with immense force. The blast completely destroyed the vehicle, causing immediate casualties and severe injuries to those on board and nearby. Rescue teams and law enforcement agencies rushed to the site following the explosion to initiate emergency operations.

All deceased individuals and the injured have been shifted to Nishtar Hospital, Multan. Medical sources indicate that several of the injured remain in critical condition. While the victims have been identified as members of the same family, their specific identities have not yet been officially released as the verification process continues. Police have cordoned off the area and launched a formal investigation to determine the exact cause of the cylinder failure and to ensure compliance with safety regulations for public transport vehicles.
