TEHRAN/WASHINGTON/TEL AVIV (HRNW): The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed to have targeted the American aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln with cruise missiles as part of what it described as the “91st wave of operations” against enemy forces. According to statements released by the Iranian military, the naval strike involved a coordinated barrage of multiple cruise and ballistic missiles, which allegedly forced the carrier strike group to alter its operational positioning in the region.
Simultaneously, Iran launched a series of missile strikes targeting several cities across Israel, resulting in powerful explosions and reports of large fires in multiple locations. Iranian sources further asserted that Israel’s advanced air defense systems failed to intercept the incoming projectiles. In a separate development, the IRGC also claimed to have downed an enemy fighter jet near Qeshm Island. These escalations follow a prolonged period of military exchanges and retaliatory strikes between Iran, the United States, and Israel, significantly heightening tensions across the Middle East. It is important to note that these claims from both sides have not been independently verified by international organizations or neutral government sources, as the conflict continues to be characterized by conflicting reports and psychological warfare.
