Rain and Snowfall Return Cold Weather Across KP, Met Office Predicts More Showers

Peshawar (HRNW)- Intermittent rain and snowfall in the upper districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar, have brought back cold weather across the province over the past week.

Rain has continued in Peshawar city and its surrounding areas since this morning, leading to a noticeable drop in temperature and chilly conditions.

In the upper regions, snowfall persists on the mountains of Upper and Lower Chitral, while areas such as Upper Dir, Kalam, Swat, and Shangla have also witnessed snowfall on high altitudes, covering peaks in white.

According to the Meteorological Department, most districts in the province are experiencing partly cloudy to cloudy weather, with colder conditions expected particularly in the upper regions.

The department has forecast further rain with scattered showers and snowfall in mountainous areas including Chitral, Upper and Lower Dir, Malakand, Buner, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Kolai-Palas, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Battagram, and Torghar.

The ongoing weather conditions have intensified the cold spell, especially in northern districts, affecting daily life and travel in these areas.
