Islamabad (HRNW)- Opposition Leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai has alleged that elements within the government are sabotaging efforts to improve political relations with the PTI, while raising concerns over Imran Khan’s recent medical examination and hospital transfer.
Addressing the National Assembly session, Achakzai said there was widespread expectation that the PTI founder would be shifted to Shifa International Hospital in accordance with the Supreme Court’s order. However, he claimed that Imran Khan was instead taken to another hospital during the night and alleged that his sister was kept in a separate room.
Achakzai further alleged that the incident was the work of “black sheep” within the government who were attempting to undermine efforts to create a positive environment for political dialogue. He said that while attempts were being made to improve relations, certain forces were working to sabotage the process.
