Barrister Gohar: Someone Does Not Want Political Problems to Be Resolved

Islamabad (HRNW)- PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan has said that “someone does not want” political problems to be resolved, expressing disappointment over the circumstances surrounding Imran Khan’s medical examination and his return to Adiala Jail.

Speaking to the media, Barrister Gohar said the situation was highly unfortunate and unexpected. He maintained that the Supreme Court’s decision regarding Imran Khan was clear and that, if there had been any ambiguity, a review petition could have been filed.

Barrister Gohar said political problems should be resolved through political means and questioned why Imran Khan was not shifted to the hospital he had expected. He said the decision to shift the PTI founder and keep him there was mandatory under the Supreme Court’s order.

Imran Khan was subsequently shifted back to Adiala Jail early Friday morning after undergoing a medical examination at PIMS Hospital. Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said a team of qualified doctors, including an ophthalmologist, cardiologist and physician, examined Imran Khan and declared him medically fit. Doctors from Al-Shifa Hospital also participated in the examination.

According to Tarar, Imran Khan was taken to PIMS instead of Al-Shifa Hospital due to security concerns arising from the presence of PTI workers around the latter facility. He said Imran Khan was provided medical treatment and would continue to receive medical facilities whenever required.
