Tehran (HRNW)- Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf has said that Iran and Iraq will not allow any foreign power to determine their future, stressing the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation and shared prosperity.
According to Iranian media, Qalibaf said both neighboring countries have rejected attempts by the United States and other Western powers to influence their political and strategic direction. He called for transforming their long-standing political and security cooperation into greater economic development.
Qalibaf said Iran-Iraq relations are rooted in geography, shared history and religious ties, adding that their common stance against external interference is further strengthening bilateral relations.
