Peshawar (HRNW)- Students from various universities across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa participating in the ISPR Summer Internship 2026 visited Bala Hissar Fort in Peshawar, where they were briefed on the fort’s historical significance, the regional security situation and the role of Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North.
During the visit, the students laid a wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial and paid tribute to the martyrs of Pakistan. They also toured the historical museum at Bala Hissar Fort and received information about the region’s cultural and historical heritage.
The students met the Inspector General of Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North, who answered their questions and briefed them on security challenges and the FC’s role in maintaining peace and supporting development in the region.
The interns described the visit as educational and informative, saying it helped them better understand the region’s history, national defence and the sacrifices made by security personnel for maintaining law and order.
