Nigeria–US Joint Operation Kills 175 ISIS Fighters in Northeast, Claims Major Success

Abuja (HRNW)- The Nigerian and US military have carried out heavy air and ground attacks on ISIS targets in northeastern Nigeria during a joint operation, claiming to have killed 175 fighters.

According to a report by Al Jazeera TV, ISIS has suffered heavy losses in this joint operation by the US Africa Command and the Nigerian army, and several key commanders of the organization have been killed. The report states that senior ISIS leader Abubakar Al-Minoo is also among those killed.

The military leadership of both countries has described this joint military operation as a major success. It should be noted that the terrorist organizations ISIS and Boko Haram have been active in the northeastern regions of Borno State and its surroundings for a long time, against which the Nigerian army is constantly fighting.
