Karachi (HRNW)- A comprehensive security plan has been issued for the anti-polio campaign to be held from April 13 to 19, 2026. According to the details, a total of 7536 police officers and personnel, including lady police, will perform security duties during the campaign.
According to the district-wise deployment, 936 personnel have been deployed in East District, 930 in West District, 466 in South District, 1210 in Kemari District, 1727 in Central District, 589 in Malir District, and 758 personnel have been deployed in Korangi District.
The Karachi Police Chief has issued instructions that all zonal officers should ensure direct supervision of security arrangements during the anti-polio campaign. On the other hand, a 4-day anti-polio campaign has begun in Bahawalpur, during which more than 813,000 children will be vaccinated against polio.
Similarly, an anti-polio campaign has also begun in Mandi Bahauddin, where more than 314,000 children under the age of 5 will be given the polio vaccine.
