Putin and Trump Hold 90-Minute Call on Middle East Conflict and Ukraine War

Moscow (HRNW)- Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump in which both leaders discussed the ongoing Middle East conflict and the war in Ukraine. According to media reports, Kremlin spokesperson Yuri Ushakov stated at a press briefing that the call lasted more than 90 minutes and was conducted in a frank and businesslike manner.

Ushakov said the two leaders focused particularly on the situation in Iran and the Persian Gulf region. President Putin reportedly described Trump’s decision to extend the ceasefire with Iran as appropriate, saying it could provide an opportunity for renewed negotiations and contribute to stabilizing the overall regional situation.

He further warned that renewed military action by the United States and Israel could have severe consequences not only for Iran and neighboring countries but also for the broader international community. Putin also reiterated Russia’s willingness to support diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving the Middle East conflict.
