Mojtaba Khamenei Says New Phase Begins in Strait of Hormuz After Regional Tensions

Tehran (HRNW)- Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has stated that the Iranian nation has made significant sacrifices for regional independence and against foreign interference, according to Iranian media reports. In a new message attributed to him, he said that a “new chapter” is beginning in the Strait of Hormuz following what he described as the failure of American strategies in the region.

He added that after two months of heightened tensions, a new situation is emerging in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, marking a new phase in regional developments. Khamenei described the Strait of Hormuz as a strategically vital asset that has attracted the attention of various global powers for centuries. He said the Persian Gulf and surrounding waterways, including the Sea of Oman, are crucial not only for regional connectivity but also for the global economy.

He further stated that the Persian Gulf holds deep historical and civilizational significance for Muslim nations, particularly Iran, and described the Islamic Revolution as a turning point in reducing foreign influence in the region. Khamenei emphasized that Iran, with the longest coastline along the Persian Gulf, has made major sacrifices to protect regional independence and resist external interference.
