Trump to Receive CENTCOM Briefing on Military Options Against Iran Amid Rising Tensions

Washington (HRNW)- US President Donald Trump is set to be briefed today by the Commander of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), General Cooper, on potential new military options against Iran, according to an American newspaper report. The briefing comes amid escalating regional tensions and ongoing diplomatic efforts.

The report states that several options will be reviewed, including a short but intensive military strike, increased naval presence and control in the Strait of Hormuz, and possible covert special forces operations targeting Iran’s enriched uranium facilities. Sources indicate that President Trump is currently prioritizing a naval blockade strategy aimed at increasing pressure on Tehran to encourage flexibility in negotiations.

According to the report, if Iran does not agree to the expected concessions, the United States may consider more aggressive military actions. The newspaper added that these contingency plans are being developed alongside rising regional instability, where diplomatic channels and military preparations are simultaneously advancing.

Experts warn that any military escalation in the Strait of Hormuz could significantly disrupt global oil supplies and international trade routes.
