India Faces Severe Energy Crisis as Fuel Ships Stranded in Strait of Hormuz Amid Middle East Tensions

New Delhi (HRNW)- India’s energy crisis has worsened due to the ongoing Middle East conflict and what experts call poor diplomacy and planning.

Indian authorities confirmed that 10 foreign-flagged ships supplying fuel to India are stranded in the Persian Gulf, while 18 Indian-flagged ships carrying LPG, crude oil, and LNG are stuck in the Strait of Hormuz.

NDTV reports that the high-risk area extends beyond the Strait of Hormuz, and Iranian authorities have stated that only ships from “brotherly countries” may pass after coordination.

International experts warn that India’s fuel shortage is intensifying due to the paralysis of a key trade route, compounded by pro-Israel policies and inadequate planning, pushing the country into a severe energy crisis.
