Berlin (HRNW)- German Foreign Minister Johannes Waddeweihl has announced that representatives of the United States and Iran are scheduled to meet in Pakistan soon, aiming to reduce tensions and explore potential negotiations. Speaking in an interview with German radio, he said that while indirect contacts between the two countries have been ongoing, preparations for a direct meeting in Pakistan are now complete.
The statement comes as US Special Representative for the Middle East, Steve Wittkoff, confirmed Pakistan’s crucial role in mediating between the United States and Iran. He noted that positive messages have already been exchanged through Pakistan, signaling a step toward easing regional tensions.
