Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi Says US Responsible for Attacks Near Urban Areas in Gulf Countries

Tehran (HRNW)- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has stated that the United States bears responsibility for attacks occurring near urban areas in Gulf countries.

In an interview with Arab media, Araqchi said that US forces have reportedly relocated from military bases to urban areas and hotels, a move he claims has led to locations near civilian populations being targeted.

He added that wherever US forces or installations are present, Iran has targeted those sites. However, he acknowledged that some strikes may have occurred close to populated areas, causing damage and hardship to civilians.

Araqchi further stated that the US bears full responsibility for the war that began on February 28, arguing that the continued US presence in the region is a key factor behind attacks near urban centers in Gulf countries.

The remarks come amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing exchanges between the involved parties.
