Islamabad (HRNW)- The government is considering relocating the headquarters of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) from Karachi to Islamabad, with plans underway to establish a new aviation complex in the federal capital.
According to official details, the Pakistan Airports Authority has issued a tender inviting companies to submit applications for the construction of the proposed aviation complex in Islamabad. The project aims to house the headquarters of both the Civil Aviation Authority and Pakistan Airports Authority under one roof once the facility is completed.
The Planning and Development Department of PAA has set March 27 as the deadline for companies to submit their applications for the tender.
At present, the headquarters of both departments are located in Karachi, and the relocation process is expected to take approximately three years after the construction of the new aviation complex is completed.
Officials say the proposed move is part of broader administrative planning to centralize aviation-related institutions in the country’s capital.
