Islamabad (HRNW)- Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders of politicizing the health of the party’s founding chairman, Imran Khan, saying that the Supreme Court’s order regarding his medical examination was fully implemented.
Tarar said Imran Khan was examined at PIMS in the presence of doctors from Shifa International Hospital and that his sister was also present during the medical examination and treatment. He maintained that all provisions of the court order were followed and that the government had not stopped his medical treatment.
The minister said initial medical assessments indicated that Imran Khan’s pulse, blood pressure and eyesight were normal, adding that doctors would determine the nature and seriousness of any medical condition.
Tarar urged PTI leaders not to turn the health issue into a political controversy and alleged that their actions amounted to contempt of court. He said the government would continue providing medical treatment whenever required.
