Islamabad (HRNW) — Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Atta Tarar has said that, in compliance with the Supreme Court’s decision, former Prime Minister Imran Khan was taken to a hospital during the night between August 20 and 21, 2026, under appropriate security arrangements.
According to the Federal Minister, a team of qualified doctors, including an ophthalmologist, cardiologist and physician, conducted a detailed medical examination of Imran Khan and declared him medically fit.
He said Imran Khan’s sister, Uzma Khan, remained present throughout the medical examination.
Atta Tarar stated that after completion of the medical process, Imran Khan was transferred back to Adiala Jail at around 5:00 a.m. on August 21, 2026.
