ISLAMABAD (HRNW) — An alleged 114-member international network involved in producing fake and obscene videos of celebrities and other prominent individuals using artificial intelligence (AI) has reportedly been busted in Pakistan.
According to the FIR, the alleged global network was operating from a private commercial plaza in Islamabad, where foreign nationals were reportedly running an international operation involving the production and distribution of obscene videos.
The FIR states that the arrested individuals allegedly belonged to four different countries, while more than two dozen Pakistani nationals were also allegedly involved in the network.
According to the investigation details cited in the FIR, the suspects established a private company and allegedly used it to operate a network for producing obscene content.
Authorities reportedly recovered alleged obscene videos involving prominent personalities from Vietnam and other countries from the possession of the suspects.
The FIR further alleges that members of the network were involved in creating AI-generated fake videos of prominent personalities. Investigators are continuing to examine the network’s operations, potential victims and the sources and distribution of the digital material.
