New Delhi (HRNW)- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced free online coaching for youth preparing for competitive examinations, along with a major artificial intelligence (AI) training initiative.
Speaking at the historic Red Fort in New Delhi on India’s Independence Day on August 15, Modi said the government would provide free online classes to reduce the financial burden of expensive private coaching on students and their families.
Modi also announced a target to provide AI skills training to 10 million young people over the next year, saying modern technology could improve employment opportunities and help prepare youth for the future.
The announcements come amid growing concerns in India over examination paper leaks, recruitment controversies and limited job opportunities. Student protests in various parts of the country have called for greater transparency, merit-based recruitment and reforms in the examination system.
The government hopes that free online coaching and AI training will make education and career preparation more accessible, particularly for students from middle- and low-income families.
