Karachi (HRNW): A police official serving as the station clerk at Saudabad Police Station has been suspended following allegations of sexual harassment made by a female police officer.
According to reports, the accused official, Javed Sapra, has been directed to report to police headquarters pending the outcome of an inquiry. The action was taken after the female officer lodged a complaint with senior police authorities and subsequently approached the office of the Additional Inspector General (AIG).
Police sources stated that Javed Sapra had previously been suspended while serving at Shah Faisal Police Station and Malir City Police Station in separate matters.
Authorities have confirmed that an investigation is underway to determine the facts surrounding the allegations. No findings have yet been announced, and the inquiry remains ongoing.
