Makkah (HRNW) – The number of pilgrims arriving in Saudi Arabia for Hajj 2026 from around the world has exceeded 1.518 million, according to the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
Officials said the arrival of pilgrims from different countries is continuing rapidly, while final preparations are underway in Makkah, Madinah, and the Grand Mosque to ensure smooth arrangements for the annual pilgrimage.
According to Saudi authorities, modern technology, digital surveillance systems, medical services, and transportation facilities have been further upgraded this year to provide maximum convenience and safety for pilgrims. The Saudi Civil Defense, Red Crescent, and security agencies have also been placed on high alert to handle emergencies.
The Saudi Ministry of Interior has announced strict action against illegal Hajj participation and unauthorized entry into Makkah without official permits. Authorities emphasized that strict monitoring will continue to maintain security and organization during Hajj.
Meanwhile, large numbers of pilgrims are engaged in prayers and preparations at Masjid al-Haram and Masjid al-Nabawi, while Saudi officials expect millions more pilgrims to arrive over the coming days.
