Coalition Government Assures Public of Petroleum Price Relief After Regional Stability

Islamabad (HRNW)- Government ministers have assured the coalition parties that the prices of petroleum products will be reduced as soon as the situation in the region returns to normal.

In this regard, an important meeting of the government coalition parties was held at the Parliament House, after which Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry issued a statement on the meeting.

The meeting was attended by leaders of other coalition parties including the PML-N, PPP, MQM.

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Petroleum Minister Ali Pervez Malik and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, among others.

According to Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, the Finance Minister and the Petroleum Minister briefed the parliamentary leaders of the coalition parties on the current economic and regional situation, while the coalition parties expressed full confidence in the policies of the federal government.

He further said that the meeting also considered future measures regarding the prices of petroleum products and informed the allies that further relief would be provided to the public as soon as the situation returned to normal.
